Human nature is evil and must be controlled or else chaos will result.

 Humans are fallen creatures who do evil even when they know better, and who can enter Heaven only through the intercession of the Church

Since the state is a human organization; it is subject to corruption and needs the authority of the Church, representing the spiritual power of God, to have authority over kings to make sure government is conducted according to God's commandments.

Only the Pope was selected to be God's representative.

Progress is not possible because of man's fall from grace.

Values

It provided the individual with a sense of community in which everyone was acceptable despite their status.

It gave promise of a better life after death.

It cared for the poor and everyone was expected to give to the church to care for the poor.

Obedience to God is the most important value of life.

Ideas

The Church is the authority of the value of all ideas.

The Church is the authority of all scientific theories.

No one should charge interest to make money off the poor.

Those who have extra should share it with those who do not have through the church.

hey, if enyone else from the class sees this im wondering if this is the page from the wiki that shows what the characteristics of the religious world veiw.  if u agree with me that this is what we are suppose to be studying then just edit the page.  im sure yoll member how to do that.  ur name with the first letter capitalized and the password the same as our blogs but without the little number at the end.  well i'll be checking back to see if any of u agree with me.  c ya on monday for the exam.

That's what i assume... when i read that question, this is where i thought the answers would most likely to be, so yea, i guess study this stuff. but i have 2 say, that's a LOT of info to memorize.  do i need to know it all? K, c u l8er kiera. have fun studying ;)

Travis -  It's not that much information, because it can be generalized and grouped together to form one sentence to explain two or three. For example, in the beliefs, the first three sentences can be put together because they're basically just variations on the same thing. I'll see ya monday, but i'll probably be too busy bombing the test to talk peace out 

Sure this part isn't all that much. But all the stuff together?! That's like more than we had to know for math....and I thought math had a lot!! Then again, most of the stuff can be condensed....*sigh* ah well....see all of ya tomorrow...won't it be fun? lol:P

Well i find it humorus that ppl actually bloged on this.  teehee.  but yea see u tomorrow.  and i think im gunna bomb the test.  but i'll try and "generalize" it.  lol.  nice wordin trav,  o and i was thinking that mabey this isnt it b/c it says religious world veiw, not christian.  and religious referrs to more catigorys than this.  but i dunno
